La Plata Conservation District Online Store (laplatacd.store)
La Plata Conservation District's seedling tree program allows farmers, ranchers and landowners to obtain trees at a nominal cost. The goal is to help landowners to plant new forests, establish effective windbreaks, protect homes, cropland, livestock and highways and to enhance wildlife habitat. Trees and plants are to be used for conservation and/or restoration purposes only. Ornamental qualities such as color, degree of flowering, fruit production, etc. are not guaranteed.
Seedling sales are restricted. To qualify, you must agree:
- This nursery stock is NOT for use in ornamental or landscape plantings.
- Seedlings purchased from LPCD may NOT be resold as a living plant.
- Bareroot trees are available in bundles of 25 per species only.
- Container conifers are sold in bundles of 5 only. (Gro-Plugs, Seedling plugs and TB2 are container seedlings).
- Payment online at time of ordering is preferred. If you need to pay at pickup, only cash or check will be accepted.
- If trees ordered are not available, a refund may be issued, unless a substitution is requested/available.
- Pickup of seedlings will be on Friday, April 18th, 2025, at the LPCD Office/Yard located at 31 Suttle Street, Durango, CO, between 9am and 1pm. If you cannot pick up your order, please ask a friend or neighbor to pick up the order for you.
- Please bring a box or container to transport your seedlings.
If a bundle of 25 Bareroot seedlings is too many, head over to our LPCD Seedling Tree Sale Pickup Event Page on Facebook and find a friend to share with.
