About La Plata Conservation DistrictLPCD was formed March 18, 1947 and comprises the majority of La Plata County with the exception of the Pine River Conservation District.
What is a Conservation District? Conservation Districts work directly with landowners to conserve and promote healthy soils, water, forests and wildlife. Conservation districts coordinate assistance from all available sources—public and private, local, state and federal—to develop locally-driven solutions to natural resources concerns.
