2026 Seedling Tree Sale Information
La Plata Conservation District's seedling tree program allows farmers, ranchers and landowners to obtain trees at a nominal cost. The goal is to help landowners to plant new forests, establish effective windbreaks, protect homes, cropland, livestock and highways and to enhance wildlife habitat. Trees and plants are to be used for conservation and/or restoration purposes only. Ornamental qualities such as color, degree of flowering, fruit production, etc. are not guaranteed.
Seedling sales are restricted. Please read the terms below.
- This nursery stock is NOT for use in ornamental or landscape plantings.
- Seedlings purchased from LPCD may NOT be resold as a living plant.
- Bareroot trees and shrubs are available in bundles of 25 per species only.
- Container seedlings are available in bundles of 5 only. (Gro-Plugs, TB2, 10 cubic inch Ray Leach Cone-tainers™ and 9.2-cubic-inch biodegradable paper sleeves are container seedlings).
- Some species are available in bareroot or containers, please check description carefully.
- Payment online at time of ordering is preferred. If you need to pay at pickup, only cash or check will be accepted.
- If trees ordered are not available, a refund may be issued, unless a substitution is requested/available.
- Pickup of seedlings will be on Friday, April 24th, 2026, at the LPCD Office/Yard located at 31 Suttle Street, Durango, CO, between 10am and 3pm. If you cannot pick up your order, please ask a friend or neighbor to pick up the order for you.
- Please bring a box or container to transport your seedlings.
